Just another day

Good evening, friends x

By now those of you who live in the UK have probably experienced the torrential rain and thunder and lightening. We had it around 1pm and it only lasted for a little over an hour.
What worried me was my three year old son, Jack. He's always been a little frightened and was at nursery today when it arrived. When i went to pick him up his teacher told me he was talking about it and seemed a little weary but didn't make a fuss at all, brilliant! :D

Mojo gone on holiday without you?

As I posted yesterday, it's been a little hard to try and find the time to scrap. When this happens it always takes a while to kick-start the old mojo, as is happening now.
I've been having a little look around and have found a few more inspirational blogs, and would like to share them with you.
First is Terries Scrap it challenge. I love Terries work, it's just so beautiful. You can see her work in her gallery here on UKS. This months challenge on Terries blog is 'WHAT'S YOUR SECRET TO A HAPPY LIFE?'. I shall say no more. Why not check it out for yourselves? :)

The next is one I found while browsing again on UKScrappers. It's called Its a creative world. You really must check this one out too. On both of these blogs you have the chanceto get your hands on some lovely stash. So, what are you waiting for?
You've got to be in it to win it - after all.

OK, that's it for me for now. If I can pop back in a while I shall. Until then take care xx

It's been a manic week or so

Manic 'aint the word.
I've been rushing to and fro for what seems like forever :O
First off my lovely mum had an operation on both of her feet and was unwell during the operation so there was us all waiting for just over three hours when it should've been done and dusted in a little over ONE!
Anyway, she's recovering well and we've only got a week to wait to see if it all went ok.
(If anyone wants a little more detail of what op she had let me know ;) )
Then my husband's brother has dislocated his ankle and broken his leg in three places - OUCH!
So, my dear husband is staying over at his dads (where his bro lives too) just to make sure things are ok. It was expected he'd be staying for a max of one week which has now increaed to at least TWO! Oh well, guilt-free scrapping I'd say ;)
To top it all off one of my boys has Shingles and the little one, who's 3, has an all-over body allergic reaction rash and chicken pox (although it seems to be very mild).

So, there's my week. What have you been doing? Anyone scrapped?

Lost for inspiration? Well, I've just found this fab new blog where you can WIN free stash...want to find out more? Well, here it is ....Scrapping Inspiration I'm going to give it a go, why not join me :D

Now, to all those UKScrappers members you'll be well aware of the server change over. This means that we've had to go without our beloved UKS from 9pm last night (GMT) 'til approx 6pm tonight (GMT) Aaaarrggghhh I hear you all screaming. Well, it's not for much longer :)
Then once again we'll all be able to chat to our hearts content, shop with our wonderful sponsors, and check out the fab gallery for inspiration.
Talking of scrapping, I did this layout on Thursday evening. The photo is my beautiful mum less than 24 hours after her op. The day of her op was also her birthday. Te quiero, mama - I love you, Mum - is a very emotional layout for me. Mum, if you're reading this then I just want you to know that I love you xx
(The title is Spanish, for those who don't know :) )
Te quiero, Mama

Right, I'm off for now. Don't forget to check out Scrapping Inspiration for that chance to win some stash.

Take Care everyone x

Skippie xx
